Joseph Kadar was a Hungarian painter and visual artist, naturalized French, who was born in 1936 and died in 2019.
His works are marked by a constant quest for innovation, combining various media such as painting, sculpture and drawing, as well as a multitude of techniques (acrylic, oil paint, collage...).
Joseph Kadar's central themes are time, memory, the human imprint and duality.
His main influences are abstract and kinetic art, from which he has developed a personal style in which light and matter play an essential role.
He is also known for his commitment to the preservation of artistic heritage, notably through the creation of the Centre International d'Art Contemporain in France. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums throughout Europe.
