A pair of silver torches and their wicks (not hallmarked, but very probably original) resting on a triangular base with springs and doucines chased with a frieze of scrolls, fleurons and crosses on an amati ground. The bell is chased with shells, florets, fleurons and scales on an amati base. The triangular shaft is chased with friezes of ovals, fleurons, shells and antique-style profiles. The tap decorated with compartments, scrolls, shells and fleurons on an amati background. The bobèches are poly-lobed. Master goldsmith: Charles-Louis Gérard, received in 1716.
