Cloisonné enamel hu vase China Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) H. 42 cm x 16 cm The hu-shaped vase is richly decorated in polychrome cloisonné enamel on a turquoise ground. The decoration features four-clawed dragons moving among clouds in pursuit of the flaming pearl, embellished with large lotus flowers and foliage. The side handles are formed by lion heads holding movable gilded bronze rings.
