RICHER / PARIS) Signed lower left 41 x 33 cm Originally from Bordeaux, Oswald Heidbrinck was one of the great draftsmen and illustrators of the late 19th century. A student of Jean-Léon Gérôme in Paris, he collaborated with the famous newspapers of the period, including Le Chat noir, Le Courrier Français and L'assiette au beurre. A close friend of Toulouse-Lautrec, he was an historic chronicler-drawer of Montmartre life during this period.
