Produced in 1876, this etching was published in L'Art magazine in 1879, the year in which Félix and Marie both took part in the fourth Impressionist exhibition. It depicts the peaceful, poetic atmosphere of the artist couple's home in Sèvres. On their terrace overlooking the valley, drawing board on her lap, pencil in hand, Marie Bracquemond paints a portrait of her half-sister Louise Quivoron. 25.5 x 35 cm.
