Pierre PAULIN (1927 - 2009) Pierre PAULIN (1927 - 2009) Élysée" stool, model created in 1971, in light buff-painted cast aluminum with central cylindrical shaft on grooved three-lobed base. Circular seat entirely covered in beige fabric (wear, stains, scratches). H. 44 cm x D. 50 cm History: the "Élysée" model was created by Pierre Paulin between 1969 and 1972 in response to an order from the French presidency to the Mobilier National to furnish and decorate a suite of private salons for official receptions at the Palais de l'Élysée.
