Complete collection of this iconic art magazine devoted to Japan, founded by art dealer Siegfried Bing (1838-1905), comprising 36 issues published between 1888 and 1891. Contributors included Philippe Burty, A. Lequeux, Gustave Geffroy, Marcus B. Huish, Roger Marx, Edmond de Goncourt, L. Gonse, etc. Each issue is lavishly illustrated with figures in the text and plates showing bronzes, pottery, silks, etc., as well as reproductions of prints by Hokuzaï, Kiyonaga, Korin, Outamaro, Toyokouni, etc.
