Blue and white floral tiles, Iran, late Safavid period, probably Isfahan, 17th - 18th century Siliceous ceramic painted in cobalt blue on a white ground under a transparent glaze, with flowers arranged in a cross and linked by foliate scrolls. One complete tile with glossy glaze and four fragments from the same series with matte glaze. 18.4 x 18.6 cm, 18.2 x 18.6 cm, 18 x 16.5 cm, 11 x 8.5, 7.7 x 6.7 cm Complete tile edges repainted, chips and scratches on each. Tiles similar to these can be found in St. Stephen's Church in the New Julfa Armenian district of Isfahan, Iran.
