Based on the original work created before 1704 and now in the Musée du Louvre (Paris), consisting of a reduction of the statue on Place Louis-le-Grand (now Place Vendôme) in Paris, cast in 1692 and erected in 1699. A bronze reduction was presented at the exhibitions of the Académie de peinture et de sculpture in 1699 and 1704.
