Beautiful original Indian ink drawing by Kurt Seligmann.
On the reverse, a pencil study of the hands and dimensions for reproduction.
It was exhibited at the Exposition Internationale du Surréalisme at the Galerie des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1938 under no. 212. The artist was nicknamed La Gerbe d'ailes in reference to his fascination with the emblem and nuptial flights of birds, which this drawing evokes.
