[PHOTOGRAPH]. Various members of the Surrealist group. Circa 1924-1946. 11 silver prints, various sizes (between 5.9 x 6.2 cm and 14 x 9.5 cm). Beautiful collection of photographs showing, for the most part, Eluard with various members of the Surrealist group and Picasso. Highlights include a remarkable photograph taken in Davos on March 6, 1935, according to a handwritten note on the back, featuring Eluard, Nusch, Simone Téry and René Crevel, a few months before his suicide (9.4 x 14.3 cm); a group postcard photograph, 11 x 8 cm, showing the Eluard family and the Ernst family (his first wife Luise and their son Jimmy) in Eaubonne in 1924 (see Valette, Eluard, Livre d'identité, p. 42). A card game between Eluard, Nusch, Dora Maar, Jacqueline and André Breton in 1937 (reproduced in Album Eluard, Bibliothèque de la Pléiade, 1968, p. 196). A portrait of Eluard, alone (Valette, Eluard, Livre d'identité, Tchou, 1967, p. 78.) Picasso appears in three photographs.
