Alain JOUFFROY. The Congress. Perahim. Paris, Les Mains libres, 1972. Small folio, top cover in ostrich skin with relief mosaic decoration in ostrich skin and cream morocco, bottom cover in cream morocco, smooth spine with title in mosaic lettering, pink suede lining and endpapers, illustrated cover and spine preserved, untrimmed, slipcase (Leroux, 1975). First edition, illustrated with 12 original full-page lithographs by Jules Perahim, including one frontispiece. One of the 17 first copies on japon nacré with an original drawing, an original lithograph and an autograph poem, with all plates signed by the painter. Nominative copy for Jean Petithory. In addition to the parts specific to the first copies, the copy includes the autograph working manuscript, signed, mounted at the head (12 leaves in-4); a large original drawing signed with an autograph dispatch at the foot: "Pour Jean Petithory, ce manuel imaginaire du désir et de passion, son ami Perahim." (To Jean Petithory, this imaginary manual of desire and passion, his friend Perahim). Also included is a large original signed drawing. Autograph letter signed in red pencil on the title page: "To Jean Petithory, en passant par les Champs magnétiques où l'électricité s'allume. Alain Jouffroy." Remarkable embossed mosaic binding by Georges Leroux, in harmony with the compositions by Jules Perahim.
