Paul ELUARD. A poem in every book. No place or date [ca. 1950-1952]. Autograph manuscript of 13 leaves in-8, half black percale à la Bradel with corners, ivory morocco title page (Semet & Plumelle). Precious autograph manuscript of the twelve poems chosen by Paul Eluard for the autographed edition planned by Louis Broder. As the poet died in 1952, the edition was only published posthumously in 1956. It faithfully reproduces the autographs of the present collection. From the library of the publisher Louis Broder. A black-and-white photograph of Paul Eluard in military uniform, taken by Valentine Hugo on September 26, 1939 at the window of the room the poet lived in with Nusch, has been mounted at the head of the book.
