In-folio, black half-maroquin à la Bradel, painted wood plates with intaglio decoration, entirely untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (plates signed by Bertini, binding by Mercher).
First edition.
Illustrated with four original color lithographs by Gianni Bertini; three full-page and one double-page bandeau. In addition, two lithographs on the cover.
Edition of 100 copies on Rives BFK vellum (no. 52), signed by the illustrator. Unique copy enriched with :
- 3 sheets of original sketches and drawings in ink and watercolor, including an attempt at a title spelled Dance mon sang at the head;
- A facsimile of the manuscript (16 pp.) accompanied by an original drawing bearing the title and 7 original drawings, most of them signed, including three studies for the end-of-volume culs-de-lampe.
Remarkable binding by Mercher, with two large woodcuts signed by Bertini on the boards.
