A Chilean Surrealist, Braulio Arenas (1913-1987) founded La Mandragora magazine and publishing house with Enrique Gomez Correa and Teofilo Cid in 1938, then Leitmotiv magazine in 1942, in which he included texts by Breton and Péret. In 1944, he took part in Boletim Surrealista alongside Enrique Gomes Correa and Jorge Caseres.
