12 volumes in-12: jansenist red morocco, ribbed spine, double gilt fillet on the edges, interior lace, gilt edges (Cuzin).
Complete collection of twelve plays published from 1847 to 1866: four are first editions.
Un caprice - Il faut qu'une porte soit ouverte ou fermée - Il ne faut jurer de rien - Le Chandelier - Louison - L'Habit vert - André del Sarto - Les Caprices de Marianne - Bettine - On ne badine pas avec l'amour - Carmosine - Fantasio.
(Carteret II, 202-207: "This collection of Musset's plays is extremely rare and in perfect condition. [...] Although most of these plays have already been published in Comédies et Proverbes, in 1840 and 1853, they are highly sought-after").
Superb collection, in uniform morocco binding by Cuzin from the library of Jules Noilly, with bookplate.
Il ne faut jurer de rien is dated 1849 instead of 1848, and Le Chandelier is dated 1850 instead of 1848. The cover of Les Caprices de Marianne has not been preserved. Three of the volumes do not have the Noilly bookplate.
A page of the autograph manuscript (1 page in-folio) has been bound in at the head of Carmosine.

- Le Chandelier. 1848. First separate edition. In-12, red calf decorated with Yseux. Autograph letter signed: "to Mr Provost, offered by the author, Alfd Mt".
- Same edition. Copy in Cuzin red morocco, complete with publisher's catalog bound in at end.
- L'Habit vert. 1849. In-12, paperback.
First edition: "One of the rarest and most sought-after plays" (Carteret II, 204).
