These two- to three-centimeter-high prints represent a tour de force by the printers: they have been collected by Jean-Paul Kahn as curiosities from the history of the book. Four of them were published by the Parisian bookseller-publisher Marcilly, who specialized in children's publications. - Les Tableaux de la vie.
